CPR AM strengthens thematic equities solutions with the launch of CPR Invest – Megatrends

Paris, 5th February 2018 - CPR AM expands its thematic equity offering with the launch of CPR Invest – Megatrends, a sub-fund of the Luxembourg SICAV (open-ended investment company) CPR Invest.

CPR Invest – Megatrends is an innovative thematic allocation solution which aims to outperform international equity markets by capitalising on potential megatrends.

This international equity fund, managed by Florian Peudevin and co-manager Guillaume Uettwiller, invests mainly in CPR AM thematic equity funds. Responding to increasing investor interest in thematic equity investing, CPR Invest – Megatrends offers investors a new theme to consider within their investing strategy.

“Investors are increasingly looking for meaning in their investments and interest in thematic management is clearly growing. Investors are looking for the best opportunities to benefit from long-term megatrends through a suitable thematic equity allocation” commented Vafa Ahmadi, head of global thematic equities at CPR AM.

CPR AM’s thematic approach stems from the identification of current and future societal, demographic, economic, environmental and technological megatrends that change the way we will live in the future.  As a pioneer of major themes such as the ageing population and disruptive companies, CPR AM offers investors a range of investment strategies relating to restructuring, luxury goods, lifestyle, the food value chain and natural resources.

CPR AM’s portfolio managers use their in-depth knowledge of each fund’s performance drivers and risk profiles to build a dynamic asset allocation that takes full advantage of megatrends while adapting to evolving market cycles.

“We have built CPR Invest – Megatrends around a base of our thematic strategies, which we believe benefits from a long-term growth potential. Based on our convictions, we implement the optimum dynamic allocation that aims to seize the performance potential of each major theme while being able to navigate different market conditions” said Florian Peudevin and Guillaume Uettwiller.

The fund’s allocation is determined monthly by the thematic allocation committee meeting and incorporates CPR AM’s financial scenarios. Fund managers decide on each fund’s risk-adjusted weighting, whilst considering geographic and sector variables. Funds are then tactically invested into specific vehicles depending on the region, theme or sector.

“Risk management is vital, and so, while maintaining the essence of thematic management, we consider the correlations and volatility of each theme when structuring the allocation” stated Florian Peudevin.

CPR Invest – Megatrends offers national and international investors the opportunity to incorporate megatrends into their core portfolio investment or use the fund as a means of diversification.

The fund’s b[1]World[1]  and is registered in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the UK and Spain, Sweden and will soon be registered in Italy and Switzerland. CPR Invest – Megatrends bears a risk of capital loss.
