This transaction is part of the climate strategy of Crédit Agricole, which contributes via its investments to the energy transition and a low-carbon economy.
Crédit Agricole Assurances, Banque des Territoires and the Groupama Group are today announcing that they signed an agreement under which Banque des Territoires and Groupama will enter the capital of Predica Energies Durables (PED), Crédit Agricole Assurances’ dedicated subsidiary for investments in renewable energy production assets alongside Engie, the French market leader for solar and wind power generation. Following this transaction, the two new investors will respectively hold 22% and 18% of PED’s capital, with Crédit Agricole Assurances remaining PED’s majority shareholder with 60% of its capital.
Crédit Agricole S.A. successfully completed today its first Green Bond with a benchmark issue of €1 billion. The issue is a 5 year Senior Preferred bond. Structured by Crédit Agricole CIB, this issue met a lot of interest from investors, as reflected by the depth and quality of the order book. In geographical terms, the bulk of interest came from France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The proceeds will be used to fund in all our territories energy and ecological transition projects of Crédit Agricole's financing entities: the Crédit Agricole Regional Banks, Crédit Agricole CIB, LCL and UNIFERGIE.
