Crédit Agricole establishes “Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform”, one of the largest European IT infrastructures
Since 1 January 2019, Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform (CA-GIP) incorporates the infrastructures and IT production activities of Crédit Agricole Assurances, Crédit Agricole CIB, Crédit Agricole Technologies et Services and the SILCA entity.
This project forms part of the Group's “Strategic Ambition 2020” medium-term plan.
The aim is to roll out an ambitious customer project, increase industrial efficiency and support the acceleration of the Group's digital transformation through a major investment programme in new technological standards.
Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform therefore has the critical mass to build convergent and innovative solutions at Group level while at the same time strengthening its agility and ensuring it has a high level of cybersecurity.
With 1,500 employees and 17 sites nationwide in France, Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform encompasses nearly 80% of the infrastructures and IT production of the Crédit Agricole Group and has a joint governance structure between the Regional Banks and Crédit Agricole S.A.
Its operating model will enable each Group entity to draw on dedicated resources, while benefiting from enhanced innovative capacities and economies of scale.
It will be launched in 2019 and achieve the target organisational structure as from 1 January 2020.
Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform is intended to be a leading technology hub, attractive for its employees, new talents and technology partners.
