Contactless payment limit to be increased to €50 for Crédit Agricole Group customers starting on 11 May

Crédit Agricole Group accounts for 30% of bank cards in France and has been working to ensure that as many customers as possible will be able to benefit from this measure starting on 11 May.

Contactless payment limit to be increased to €50 for Crédit Agricole Group customers starting on 11 May

This limit increase will be implemented simultaneously for the Group's 20 million cards in France (Regional banks and LCL) and the 350,000 retailer-client payment terminals. The Group will provide support to these retailers when rolling out and broadening the use of contactless payments.

This change is being made at no cost to customers and will be completed in total transparency by the teams at Crédit Agricole Payment Services, the Crédit Agricole Group subsidiary dedicated to payments.

Furthermore, the Group’s customers will also be able to use mobile contactless payment (via Paylib, ApplePay* or SamsungPay*) with the same limit as their payment card.

* Available for LCL customers in July 2020

* Regional bank customers only
