Appointments within Crédit Agricole CIB’s coverage

Alexandra Boleslawski is appointed Head of Global Coverage Organisation, a new department whose mission is to ensure a harmonised management of coverage in France and abroad. She reports to General Management and becomes a member of Crédit Agricole CIB’s Executive Committee. Previously, she was Deputy Director of coverage and the international network.

Jean-Michel Berling is appointed Head of coverage for the structured finance business line and reports both to Jacques de Villaines (Head of structured finance) and to Alexandra Boleslawski. He joins the Bank’s Management Committee. Previously, he was a Senior Banker in charge of a portfolio of large corporates.

Timothy Sykes joins Crédit Agricole CIB and is appointed Head of coverage for financial institutions. He reports both to Isabelle Girolami (Head of market activities) and to Alexandra Boleslawski. He joins the Bank’s Management Committee. He was previously in charge of the coverage of European banks at HSBC.

Biographies

Alexandra Boleslawski started her career at Banque Indosuez in 1986 and spent 20 years in structured finance (project finance in particular). She was appointed Global Head of the electricity sector in 2000. In 2010 she was appointed Deputy Head of the Natural Resources, Infrastructure & Electricity sector and in 2013 Global Head of the Electricity, Utilities and Mining sectors. She became Deputy Head of coverage and the international network in March 2015.

Alexandra Boleslawski graduated from HEC Paris.

Jean-Michel Berling held various positions at JP Morgan in Paris, London and New York in Equity Capital Markets, Equity Derivatives and Investment Management before joining Crédit Agricole CIB in 1998 as Deputy to the Head of the Global Equity Capital Markets department (primary, convertibles, derivatives and structured finance solutions). He was appointed Head of this department in 2008 and remained in this position until 2014. In September 2014 he became Senior Banker in charge of a portfolio of large corporates.

Jean-Michel Berling graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and HEC Entrepreneurs (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales).

Timothy Sykes started his career as an Analyst at Credit Suisse before joining UBS. He then extended his responsibilities to bank financial management at Standard Chartered where he was Deputy Group Treasurer. After this he worked for the British treasury as a civil servant in charge of managing the State’s investments in Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. He joined HSBC in 2010 as Vice-President of Global Banking in charge of the coverage of European banks for 7 years.

Timothy Sykes graduated from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
